Beauty and the Beast

The romantic and impossible love story between Beauty and the Beast has been the subject over the years of various adaptations that have focused alternately on the magical or gothic element. In this book there is room for all the light and darkness of a fairy tale that inspired the dreams of generations of readers, thanks to the magnificent illustrations of Manuela Adreani, an artist who is able to interpret all the elements of the fairy tale with great sensitivity, enriching the original text, adapted for a young and contemporary audience, with unforgettable settings and characters.

AUTHOR: Manuela Adreani, born in Rome but now resident in Turin. After taking a diploma specializing in illustration, she worked as a graphic artist and then progressed to the world of animation. After winning a scholarship for a master course in animation at Turin's IED (European Institute of Design), she worked for the Lastrego e Testa studio on TV series produced and broadcast by Italy's RAI television: "Le avventure di Aladino" (Aladdin), "Amita della Giungla" (Amita from the Jungle) and also on "La Creazione" (The Creation), based on the book by Carlo Fruttero. In 2011 she embarked on a career as a freelance illustrator, working with Benchmark and Scholastic India. She was one of the winners of the illustration contest organized for the 130th anniversary of the creation of Pinocchio. She illustrated the volumes 'Pinocchio', 'Alice in Wonderlan' (2013), 'Snow White', 'The Wizard of Oz' (2014) for White Star Kids. 40 colour illustrations
